Latest Inspection & Accreditations

We pride ourselves on the quality of education that the school provides for its pupils and the only way that we can verify whether or not we meet the stringent requirements of a British education is to be inspected by a UK based and accredited inspection body.  There is none more rigorous or thorough than the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).

During the course of the last 10 years the school has been inspected regularly by UK ratified inspection bodies and, on each occasion, the school has been viewed as mirroring the very best practice at home and for delivering an extremely high quality all round British education.  As a result we are affiliated to four ‘kitemark’ educational organisations: IAPS, BSME, COBIS and BSO.

As a member of IAPS (Independent Association of Prep Schools) the school is one of an elite group of academic institutions providing an education for pupils from 3 to 13 years of age.  IAPS is the largest independent education organisation in the UK and was established in 1892.  With some 600 members at home and 50 around the world, only the very best schools are considered for overseas IAPS membership.  Membership is a clear indicator that a school delivers a first-rate education comparable to the very best prep schools in the UK.  There are 12 IAPS schools in the Middle East region currently meeting the stringent requirements of IAPS accreditation, and we are very proud that The English School does so.  The school’s Headmaster is the District Representative (Chairman) of IAPS ME.

In addition we are a member of the BSME (British Schools in the Middle East)  and COBIS (Council of British International Schools) allowing us to attend in-service training, conferences, share best practice, and participate in events. The BSME is an extremely strong organisation in the region and provides the school with excellent support and continuous professional development opportunities.  COBIS continues to increase in size and with some 243 schools in 76 countries we really are a part of an ever-expanding global network and infrastructure of British curriculum schools.

As a BSO (British Schools Overseas) school we are recognised for providing the very best in a British education.
