Recent developments...

The Mohamed Al Bahar Library

opened in September 2004, is a modern multi media resource centre.

Creative Arts Centre

Opened in November 2005 the Creative Arts Centre includes the state-of-the art, design and food technology suites, a kiln room and spacious art centre.

Swimming pool

Opened in June 2007 the swimming pool area consists of an open air 6 lane 25m main pool with double deep ends and an adjoining 6 x 10m beginners pool. It is a deck level pool with raised ends and permanent starting blocks, surrounded by shaded tiered seating

Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Suite

During the summer of 2008 we replaced all network cables with CAT 6 and fiber cables. All network components were replaced with state of the art Cisco hardware. New powerful servers, large capacity storage and a hardware firewall were also purchased. A new ICT suite was built with all new PC’s with 19” LCD screens, printers and bespoke furniture. Each classroom has also been fitted with an Promethean Interactive Whiteboard, LCD projector and new PC. Our Internet connection speed was also increased 4 fold.

• Refurbishment of auditorium, foyer & backstage • Dance/drama studio • Automated control room • Computerised lighting • New, versatile seating • Individual music practice rooms

Funding

Estimated costs for these projects are...

• Swimming pool - 120,000 KD
• ICT Suite - 100,000 KD
• Performing Arts Centre - tbc

Revenue generated from school fees is insufficient to finance these projects.
