Welcome to Reception
In Reception there are three classes, each with a teacher and a full time Learning Support Assistant. There is also an auxilliary assistant.
In Reception the class teacher is responsible for pastoral care and the teaching of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. All Reception classes have weekly swimming lessons taught by qualified swimming teachers.
Timetables are issued to all parents at the start of each academic year. Children in Reception are taught ICT, music and physical education by subject specialists. In Reception, parents are encouraged to read with their children on a daily basis.
