Local & Residential Trips
Local & Residential Trips

Local educational trips are an important part of delivering the curriculum and teachers plan a schedule of 2 or 3 visits each academic year for children in Kg to Year 8.

There is also an opportunity for children to take part in British Schools of the Middle East (BSME) events. These are hosted either by schools within Kuwait or other countries in the Middle East and include sports, music and drama.

A number of overseas trips are offered to children in Years 5 to 8. These take place both during school holidays and Enrichment Week, the last full week of the academic year. TES staff, including a trip leader, accompany children in a ratio of 1 to 8. All trips are hosted by reputable travel companies with experience in the educational field and a clear understanding of the needs of such groups. Itineraries and schedules are balanced to develop educational themes and perspectives, as well as allowing for the children to have time for supervised and more recreational pursuits. Trips are planned to cater for a wide range of interests and focus on science (Space Camp in Turkey), culture and language (China and Paris), the performing arts (New York) and sports (skiing in Switzerland, water sports in Spain).
