After a very busy last week for TES sports teams, this week involved
only one fixture. The boys U13 football team played their 5th and final group
game of the season against ESF knowing that they were already guaranteed top
spot overall ahead of the semi finals next week.
U13 Football TES 5 v 0 ESF
TES played their 5th and final game in the ISACK U13 league this week,
taking on ESF in what TES knew would be a much easier game than their previous
4 four matches. ESF started the game with 8 players packed behind the ball,
determined for TES to not break them down. TES worked hard and played some neat
football. After a bit of a scrappy affair the first goal came through an easy
tap in from a corner for Warner. TES peppered the ESF end but could not find
another goal and it was not until after half time when TES scored again. This
time Brian strolled through the ESF defence and struck a beautiful shot into
the top corner. Shortly after Yousef scored to make the score 3-0. Lots of
substitutions then occurred with TES giving the fringe players plenty of game
time. Yousef scored a 4th goal and Amer finished late on to make the score 5-0
at the end of the game. It was a convincing win for TES and the boys remain in
good form ahead of the semi final showdown next Tuesday. The opponents for the
semi final will be confirmed later this week. Well done boys.
