Y5/6 KFSAC Boys Unihoc Tournament
Boys win the trophy after terrific performance
This week, the Year 5/6 Boys competed in the KFSAC Unihoc tournament. The boys returned victorious after defeating ATIS 2-0 in a closely contested final. The boys played well in all of their group matches to qualify for the semi final against NES. After 5minutes of rigorous play, the finalist was to be decided by sudden death penalties. Basil, Jack and Omar stepped up to take them, whilst Ben was to be the TES keeper. Ben made 3 excellent saves and Omar scored the winner to see the boys through to the final. Ahmed and Matthew also made excellent contributions during all of the games. The boys played extremely well all afternoon and deserved to lift the trophy in the end. Well done to all of the squad: Basil, Ahmed, Matthew, Benjamin, Omar and Jack.
Y5/6 KFSAC Girls Unihoc Tournament
On Wednesday the Year 5/6 Girls played in the annual girls unihoc tournament held at NES. The girls performed extremely well and won all of their group games progressing to the semi finals. In the semi finals the girls came up against NIS. The NIS team played well and scored early. TES battled back and were very unfortunate not to equalise as the time elapsed. The girls could not manage to score and lost the game 0-1. In the 3rd and 4 the play off TES beat ATIS to claim 3rd place. It was a very good performance from the girls, who were extremely unfortunate to not make the final. However, 3rd place is very good and keeps TES out way ahead in the overall KFSAC competition. Well done to all of the squad involved: Sienna, Tamara, Darcy, Rachel, Callie, Angelina and Josefin.
