U13 Boys Basketball
TES 33- 30 BSK
The U13 boys basketball team travelled to BSK on Tuesday for what promised to be an exciting game between two good teams. The game did not disappoint with both teams putting in excellent effort right until the end. TES started well and led at the end of the 1st quarter 8-4. The boys extended their lead at the start of the 2nd quarter but as the half drew to a close BSK came back into the game and remained one basket behind with the scores at 16-14. In the third quarter the TES boys moved ahead but again BSK fought back and stayed in touch. The fourth quarter was fantastic. BSK quickly turned around the three basket deficit and drew level at 26-26. They then went ahead but a great shot from Cameron put TES back on level terms at 28-28. BSK then committed a foul to give TES two free shots which Basil scored from both. Immediately from the restart Jack won the ball and drove to basket to score and put TES two baskets ahead at 32-28. Time was running out, but with a minute remaining BSK scored to make the score 32-30. As BSK pressed, with seconds remaining, another foul resulted in two TES free throws. Jack scored the first to make the score 33-30 to TES and with only 3 seconds remaining there was no time for BSK to have another attempt at basket. It was a fabulous performance from the TES squad who worked tirelessly and gave everything in a hostile environment. The boys deserve a huge amount of credit for fighting hard and coming through an excellent game. Next week TES travel to KES for their third game of the season.
U13 Girls Volleyball
TES 2 - 0 BSK
It was another fantastic victory for the ISACK U13 Volleyball Girls this week. A 2-0 win over BSK means they have won both fixtures so far this season. On Wednesday, all 12 girls took to the court and played their part in the convincing win. The girls won the 1st set 25-8 and the 2nd set 25-18. In the third friendly set the girls won 20-15. Strong serving and enthusiastic team spirit ensured a good win for TES over a tough BSK team. A great performance by everybody. Next week the girls take on KES in their third game of the season.
