U13 Boys Volleyball
TES U13 boys volleyball team played ESF this week in the final group game of the volleyball season. The game could have presented a tricky encounter for the TES squad but the boys approached the game with a good attitude. The team played some very good volleyball and convincingly won the match 2 sets to 0 (25-2, 25-16). All of the TES squad players were able to get plenty of game time ahead of the semi final to come after the Spring break. Elijah Mathew in particular served very well. The result means that TES have now won 4 and lost 1 of their 5 group games. The semi final will most likely be against KES at home if results go as anticipated.
U13 Girls Basketball
The girls U13 basketball team took on ESF this week in their final group game of the season. It was a very easy game for TES and the girls won comfortably 59-2. All of the girls had plenty of game time ahead of the semi final and lots of girls performed very well. Pia Abdou in particular had a very good game. The result means that the girls have won all of their group games and head to the semi finals as top seeds. The semi final will take place in the first week back after the Spring break and is likely to be against KES at home.

Y3/4 Football
This week the Y3/4 football team competed in the annual KFSAC tournament against 13 other schools. The tournament took place over 2 days at Bayan football pitches. TES won all 3 games on the first day of competition against TEA 2-0, TEP 1-0 and GES 3-0. On the 2nd day of competition TES lost to ATIS 0-1 and then defeated DMS 2-0 and BSK 3-0. TES qualified for the semi final to play ESF. In a tight game TES took the lead, but with minutes to go ESF scored a super equaliser. The teams could not be split and the game went to a penalty shoot out. After 3 scored penalties from both teams, David Al Saleh pulled off a superb save and then scored the next spot kick to send TES through to the final. In the final TES played TEP. TEP started very well and looked a very composed side on the ball. TES worked hard and battled for every ball. With 3 minutes of time remaining and the scores at 0-0 TEP worked the ball forward and scored a great goal to lead 1-0. TES pressed hard for the equaliser but unfortunately could not find the goal they needed and TEP won the final 1-0. It was a super effort from the TES team who finished in 2nd place out of the 14 schools who entered. Well done to all involved: Basil Tuma (C), David Al Saleh, Abdel Raheem Manan, Ole Bartlema, Jack Oliver, Lewis Lilley and Ryan Butcher.
