TES 3 v 0 TEA
The TES boys were looking to bounce back after last weeks defeat to ESF and put in a lot of hard work in preparation for the TEA game. With both teams entering the game with one victory and one defeat each, it was vitally important for the boys to get something from the game.
TEA started the game well and put together some good periods of passing play but the TES defence looked a solid unit after doing a lot of work on positioning and defending. Matthew and Omar in defence made some great tackles, limiting TEA's shots at goal, leaving Jad little to do in the game other than claim long shots. Early in the first half the boys won a corner after the TEA goalkeeper made a good save from an effort by Maxwell. From the set piece the TES boys attacked the ball well. Benjamin received a well delivered ball, which he redirected into the TEA goal, giving the boys the lead. TEA had lots of possession but were unable to capitalise or create chances due to the effort of the TES defence, whilst the boys also presented a threat on the counter attack with Woojin and Jack chasing down the TEA defence.

At halftime the boys had done well to maintain the lead and early in the second half the opposition were throwing everything they had at the TES goal but were unable to find a breakthrough. After soaking up a number of attacks from TEA the boys countered with Benjamin chasing down a long ball and winning possession before skilfully beating the last defender and goalkeeper with a turn; with an empty net ahead of him Ben struck the ball into the goal confidently from 25 yards. Within minutes the game was out of site with Woojin beating the opposition goalkeeper with a lightning quick strike just outside the area. It was a very tight game and the scoreline of 3-0 perhaps flattered the boys, but it was a fantastic team performance nonetheless. Great effort lads!
ISACK U13 Girls Netball
TES 34 v 3 KES
The girls have started off their netball season superbly. Scoring 95 and conceding only 3 is an impressive feat after just 80 minutes of play. Today they faced KES, where they were hoping to continue their winning streak.
KES proved to be their toughest opponent yet and it was clear from the first whistle, they were going to make our girls work for it. But once again, our girls played a stunning first quarter of netball. Angelina and Darcy continued their fantastic shooting campaign this season. But credit must be given to the sublime defensive work of Callie, Thalia and Olivia, who made short work of any KES attack. Melanie and Yara were strong in the middle, ensuring the team linked well across the whole court. A great team effort, meant the score stood at 12-2 after the first quarter. Along came the second quarter and with it, a momentary lapse in concentration from our girls. KES mounted the pressure and despite some superb interceptions and defensive play, our girls could not capitalise on their hard work. They ‘rewarded’ themselves with sloppy passing, meaning they had to work even harder to earn the goals they deserved. Nevertheless, they kept battling throughout the 10 minutes and the score stood at 18-2 going into halftime.

The second half started much the same as the last had finished with superb defensive pressure from the whole team, forcing KES to make mistakes, but unable to capitalise on their efforts. Towards the end of the third quarter, they started to play better and were rewarded with a 26-3 lead going into the final quarter. After 30 minutes of intense netball in the heat, the girls sorted themselves out and began to showcase what brilliant netball they can play. The goals came pouring in, with little/no comeback from KES at times. They were a pleasure to watch and once again, managed to reach their target of winning by 30. The final score was 34-3 to TES. Despite some unforced errors, the girls’ resilience and determination to win must be applauded. They played exceptionally well at times and as such, are currently top of the league table, having conceded only 6 and scoring 129 goals. What a fantastic start - long may it continue! Next week, they face TEA at home.

TES A 3 vs 0 BSK A
The TES A squad started the game against BSK fast and put the opponents onto the back foot from the first whistle. The majority of the first half was played in the BSK final third and despite them having some very good players they were unable to really compete in the match. All the TES attackers had good efforts at goal with both Ciaran and Sam coming close to scoring before Maxwell managed to put TES in the lead with a scrappy goal which he converted from the goal line after a number of blocks and miss kicks in the BSK box.
Despite TES dominating the game BSK nearly equalised late in the first half after a lack of concentration at the back led to a 1 on 1 for the striker, which narrowly went wide.
The second half was more of the same from TES with Patrick and Harry stepping forward at times to help the TES attack, whilst Dexter and Haydn protected Finnley in goal, leaving him little to do. Maxwell then put TES 2-0 up after a strong team attack and good strike from the edge of the area, and with a 2 goal lead the boys then relaxed somewhat, playing with more fluidity and leaving the BSK team with very little chances in the game. Between the attack of Ciaran, Harry, Sam and Maxwell the team created loads of chances resulting with a third goal from Sam and the final scoreline could have been more than 3-0. A good first win of the season for the boys.
TES B 6 - 0 BSK B

After watching the A squad score 3 against BSK the B squad were not to be outdone. Much like the A squad the second unit pressed the opposition back and played the majority of the game in or around the BSK goal. Between James, Oli, Rory and Zayn the TES team posed a large threat and were constantly beating their defenders and getting shots on goal. By halftime the score was 2-0 to TES with Zayn opening the scoring after a quick attack and Chad beating the keeper from a short corner. Defensively Sam and Rakan looked good and left Harrison in goal as an observer for the game. In the second half the game was one way traffic with the boys constantly attacking and passing well as a team. The BSK goalkeeper was under a barrage from the TES attack and did well to make a number of good saves but was unable to stop them all. The score finished 6-0 TES with further goals from birthday boy Oli, after having a lot of bad luck/injuries today! Jack with a sound finish and Finnley finishing 2 very good goals and unfortunate not to finish with a hat-trick after hitting both posts with 1 strike. A great day for the TES teams, great work boys!
