U13 Netball TES 10 v 6 NES
TES took on NES last week in their 4th fixture of the girls U13 netball season. The girls knew the game would be the hardest of the season so far and so it proved. At the end of the 1st quarter TES trailed NES 2-3 and were 3-5 down at half time. However, a spirited fight back from the girls in the 3rd quarter made the scores level at 6-6. TES then took control in the 4th quarter and scored 4 times to win the game 10-6. It was a topsy turvy game and the TES girls worked very hard throughout. They showed the grit and determination to come through the game and a strong desire and will to win. The girls now take on BSK in two weeks time and then move on to the semi finals. Mariam was named player of the match for a super performance at goal defence but all of the girls deserve a great deal of credit for the effort they put into the superb game.
U13 Football TES 4 v 1 TEA
TES played TEA this week in the 4th game of their football season. The boys went into the game having recorded three wins against KES, NES and BSK. The boys started in a slightly lethargic manner and the game was played at a slow pace with TEA's tricky wingers proving difficult to handle. However, TES soon settled and Yousef made the score 1-0 with a lovely finish. A superb move involving Warner and Yousef resulted in Warner playing a fine through ball to Brian who finished fantastically into the far corner. The 3rd goal came just before half time with Yousef volleying in from a long Rayce kick up field. In the second half TES made a host of changes and everyone was given plenty of game time. Amer performed very well as substitute and caused TEA lots of problems. After hard work he got his just rewards and scored the 4th goal to put TES 4-0 up. With a few minutes left and TES making lots of tactical changes TEA managed to score a consolation goal to make the score 4-1. It was a job well done from the boys which now means TES go into their final game against ESF top of the table. Amer was named man of the match for a tireless, hard working performance.
U11 Football TES A 4 v 1 NES A
U11 Football TES B 2 v 0 NES B
On Wednesday last weekTES U11 A and B squads played NES in their 2nd game of the season. The game promised to be a difficult one for TES as NES always have a strong group of footballers. The A team conceded early and NES played some very attractive football early in the game. However, TES hit back through Rami and the tide began to turn their way. Archie made the score 2-1 at half time to TES and further goals from Rami and Rasmus made the score 4-1 to TES at full time. This was an excellent victory and the boys should be extremely proud of their performances against a very good NES team. Basil was named player of the match for a superb performance in defence. The B team performed equally well with Orestis and Shareef scoring to give the team a 2-0 victory. Zaion was named player of the match for an excellent energetic performance. Both teams have now won two out of two games and sit at the top of the table. This week the boys do not have a game and play DMS next week.

U13 Boys Table Tennis

The U13 boys travelled to NES on Thursday, 23rd October to take part in the ISACK Table Tennis Tournament. Five teams competed in the U13 age category - TES, NES, BSK, KES and ESF. TES took a strong team of six and the boys played extremely well throughout the competition in a bid to retain their trophy.Number one seed Kareem faced stiff competition across the board and after an initial victory over ESF was unfortunate to lose to the KES number one, an extremely strong player. He composed himself and was rewarded with another two wins against strong players. Some cool composure and calculated shot making seeing him home. Number two seed Warner faced another four strong players and played some athletic, attacking table tennis to secure three wins out of four, also succumbing to the "smash power" of the KES seed. Rayce played some confident shots throughout his games and again was rewarded with three wins out of four. After defeating the attacking KES seed he eventually lost to a very good player from NES, going down 11-7.
Yousef, Aman and Faris were the remaining TES seeds and played confidently throughout their games. Faris ended the day with a 100% record, an excellent effort against some quality players, while Yousef and Aman brought TES some well deserved victories. The standard of competition was extremely high and the boys should be very proud of their performances. Out of 24 games, TES finished with 18 wins for a total of 54 points. Unfortunately the power of KES shone through and they took the title with 21 wins (out of 24) and 63 points. TES claimed second place by some distance from NES who finished third.
