After the Eid holiday TES U13 teams got back to action with netball and football fixtures against KES this week. Both teams put in terrific performances and extended their 100% win records from the start of the season. TES also competed in the girls U13 Table Tennis annual competition and for the 4th year in a row were crowned champions. The girls put in a superb performance winning all of their 12 games. All in all it has been another fantastic week of sport for TES.
U13 Netball TES 14 v 2 KES
TES U13 Girls netball team played KES on Tuesday in what promised to be the girls toughest test of the season so far. After wins against ESF and TEA the girls went into the game brimming with confidence and raced into a 9-0 lead by half time. The girls continued to play some super netball and the game finished with a very comfortable 14-2 victory for TES. Eve was voted as player of the match after a super performance at Centre. Next week the girls face NES in what will be their biggest test of the season. Well done to all of the girls involved in the victory.
U13 Football TES 6 v 0 KES

The U13 Boys football team played KES this week and put in an outstanding performance to win the game 6-0. From the kick off TES got the ball from a KES defender and Yousef attacked the goal to slot home and put TES 1-0 up after only 10 seconds. TES got a second goal shortly after with Yousef firing home a super volley after the bounced kindly in the KES box. KES played some super football but the TES defence marshalled by TJ stood firm and kept them at bay. From a good move from Brian and Jack, Kareem made a great run across the KES defence to chest the ball home from Jack’s cross. It was 4-0 shortly after with Brian curling home a superb free kick after being fouled just outside the penalty area. KES started the 2nd half well and could have scored twice but TES held firm. Warner then produced a moment of genius and beat two players before slotting the ball past the KES goalkeeper to make the score 5-0. Shortly after a great move by Yousef and Amer led to Warner scoring his second goal with a lovely finish from the right side of the penalty area. The game finished 6-0 and every TES player should be extremely proud of their performance. TES have now played 3 games and won 3 games and face TEA next week in their 4th game of the season. Well done to all of the boys involved. Warner was named man of the match for a terrific central midfield performance.
U13 Girls Table Tennis
Thursday 16th October saw the U13 girls table tennis team travel to NES to defend their ISACK crown. The tournament was affected by the withdrawal of a number of teams and consequently TES were left with only two matches to play, versus KES and BSK. As a result of these changes the girls had to adapt their games, with each one now being played to twenty one (21) points. The six-strong team had to wait patiently as KES opened the competition against BSK. This gave the girls the opportunity to spot any strengths or weaknesses that their soon-to-be opponents had. The quality of the table tennis meant that TES had to wait for a considerable time before they could get their defence underway. When the time finally came TES roared off to a winning start with the top two seeds, Davina and Nour, playing extremely well to defeat their KES opponents. More convincing victories followed for our players, with Lana, Mariam, Mia and Georgia winning easily, despite their nerves. Six games, six wins. TES second round games started straight away and this time it was the turn of BSK to feel the might of the TES girls. Another six games, another six wins. Each player served and returned well and the opposition were, at times, left scratching their heads wondering how to cope with the power coming from TES. The overall result was a perfect record of played twelve, won twelve. This was a brilliant way to defend the trophy and our Year 7 and 8 girls have now claimed the trophy for four consecutive years. A fantastic day and result for TES. A big well done to our champions, Davina Tuma, Nour Rashid, Lana Tawil, Mariam Noureddine, Mia Holmes and Georgia Ainger! Awesome stuff, girls!
