Super start to the new year for TES U13 Sports Teams
U13 ISACK Basketball
This week the boys U13 basketball team travelled to BSK in their 3rd game of the season. BSK is always a difficult environment to play in and the boys were aware of the challenge that lay ahead. TES started brightly and went ahead with two baskets from Elias Lambros. The starting 5 defended extremely well and attacked effectively in transition. TES led the game 21-4 at half time. In the second half TES made a lot of changes and BSK came back into the game. However some excellent pressure from Alex McEwan in the 4th quarter resulted in three quick baskets for TES and the game ended in a convincing 35-11 point victory. The result means that TES have now won 3 out of 3 games so far. A very tough game awaits next week at home against KES.
U13 ISACK Netball
TES U13 girls netball team have played two games since returning from the Christmas break. Last week the girls put in a fantastic performance to beat BSK 33-1. This week the girls had a very tough game against NES. The game was fast and furious between two evenly matched teams. TES led throughout most of the game but NES worked hard to pull the score back level. TES went ahead with minutes remaining and held on to win an exciting game 14-13. The result means that the girls have now won 4 games from 4 and take on TEA next week in their final group game before the semi finals.
